Welcome to the semi-official home page of the Glacier Girl restoration project.
Restoration to Glacier Girl began in October 1992. Work is being conducted at the Lost Squadron Museum located at the airport in Middlesboro, Kentucky (606) 248-1149. The Museum has a gift shop with the proceeds from sales going directly to the restoration project. The Shop and Museum are open to the public 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact the museum or e-mail mrp38@eastky.net
PROJECT UPDATE: The tail assembly was installed on May 1, 1997. The landing gear should be ready in about 6 months. The left wing is currently being re-fabricated and is also expected to be ready in about 6 months. Current estimate for flying is about another 2 years...Bob Cardin, Project Manager
